The answer is simple: you can. You can absolutely go online and find a recipe. Just pick one. You won't know whether it is worth it's price in beans until you try it. Maybe you will have to try 10. I did.
Then go to the store. Well, 3 stores. Not one store will have all the ingredients you need. And if it does, you paid too much.
Then come home and wrestle the bags (and the kids, one of which is probably sleeping) into the house.
Now, after you make dinner and clean it up, give baths, read books, kiss the kids goodnight - for the first time - start baking. Go ahead! You got this. Right? RIGHT?
Maybe you do. For some of you, it is worth trying.
Then again, maybe you will waste a bunch of money on groceries just to find out that you have not increased your milk supply even after eating all 36 severely burnt cookies.
So, yes. You can make these on your own. The difference, is also simple. I have spent 2 years mastering recipes, balancing ingredients, tracking results and perfecting taste. I have done all the planning, guessing, shopping, schlepping, measuring, spilling, burning and crying - so you don't have to. All you have to do is open, stir, bake.
Not only have I done this with cookies but I have created over a half dozen recipes you will NOT find anywhere on the internet.
So, who knows? Maybe when you get done making your own cookies, (do I smell something burning?!) you will be right back here for muffins. =)
