I don't have to read the article. If it is positive, the mainstream will explode with negativity and shock. If it is negative, the communities of nursing mothers will rise up and shout from their rooftops. Either way... We. Have. Won. People are talking and they are talking about breast milk. One woman, or 1000 women, or a million women will read this article or even, like me, just see the picture and they will stop and think. Some of these women will go on to do the research. They will find out the benefits, the blessing, of this gift only a mother can give her child and they will talk. The chain will spread and flow and grow.
Who will then say a year from now, "Oh, because of an article I read..."? No one. We will only remember an image, a picture in our minds of motherhood and the trials and the victories never end. The truth. The reality. The rawness at it's core. You can never make everyone happy with your parenting choices - not even yourself, but you can stand by them. We have done that in this one image. So go ahead, share the link. Good or bad, whatever the article says... people are talking about breast milk. The rest is up to them.
